So I have been swimming my whole life but not very competative or anything (I'm 15). But since covid I have had some kind of awakening, doing loads of sports and wanting more. I got a lot better very fast. In November I was swimming about 3km per session (lasting 1-1 1/2 hours).
A long time dream of mine has been to join the local swim team doing competative swimming. They have been training all through Corona time because this is proffesional sports. And they train 4 times a week + 2x weight training. Each session is about 2 hours long and they swimm 4-6km.
The problem: I have no way of training in a pool and the performance test they are doing will be the first time in the water for 5 months. I need to be better than I ever was 0-100. Has anybody got any tipps how I can train swimming without swimming? I won't give up, I just don't know what to do. Any tips, training plans, experiences...anything is appreciated!😊
