Looking for some advice?

I quit swimming in 2019 November. I am 14 (f) years of age, turning 15 this July (the end of the season). I quit bc my coach was a jerk to lightly put it. I needed some advice.

My “best stroke” is backstroke and I was able to get the provincial times, but I was unable to get them for my 200 IM. The system was if you are younger than 12 you had to get the provincial time for the IM and one other race to qualify. I missed my time by 2 seconds; I got a 3:03 and needed a 3:01.

I quit 1 and half year ago and want to get back into swimming. Should I do it. My times are really slow for my age because I quit. I will be going to a different club with a different coach.

I really want to at least get my provincial times. For the provincial times for 13 and older you need it in one race, any race, but they prefer 2-3 races at least. I am a good distance swimmer, not as good at sprinting. My 200 back time is 2:52. I need to get to 2:24 before I turn 17.

Is it worth going back to swimming or should I just quit altogether?
