I'm currently training for some open water swims. Doing roughly 5000 yards a day 3/days a week, averaging at around 1:15 pace (SCY). What kind of workouts should I do to prepare for longer-distance swims. 10K, 15 mile. I am familiar with open water swimming, just not in great distances, and most of my training happens in the pool now. In the coming weeks, I play to incorporate a 3 hr straight at least once per week to prepare for the mental challenges. Any other ideas?
