I started swimming last year and I really feel I learned a lot. My goal is to be able to swimm 2k per training, with no or with minimum rest.. In the beginning I was swimming ~700m per training (in series), then I started using paddles and pull buoy and it really helped me improve various aspects of my form. Now I'm swimming 1000+ depending on my mood.. This is the latest training I did (FIRST 2K :D) and I would like to hear your opinion .. This was the drill:
