Hi, I'm in a swim team and have been in it for about 4 years now. I'm 13, about 80lb, and am 5'1. The problem is, after not going to practice for almost a year (due to Covid), I've become a lot slower than I was before. I realized this today after my first meet in a long time. I felt incredibly tired when doing a 100 meter freestyle, and started slowing down on the second 50. I felt the same when doing a 100 meter backstroke and breast as well. (My times were also quite bad) Do you guys have any tips on how I can improve endurance and speed? Also, I have very small hands, and I have always felt that they have been slowing me down (not allowing me to catch enough water) so I also need tips on how I can be on-par with other swimmers my age despite having very small hands (should I just focus a lot on my legs?).
