Quick question on the zero to 1500

I swam competitively since I was a kid. Got burnt out in high school but continued in some fashion with being a beach guard. Long story short I am doing a swim portion for a triathlon with my brother and sister in law. The distance is only 300 yards. I know that's a joke when looking back at what I used to do. However, I also know that overconfidence produces embarrassing results.

I am in my mid 30s and haven't really swam on any level since then. I do keep in shape and do the insanity max 30 workouts pretty religiously.

So I'm not exactly starting from 0 or going to 1500 and I have 8 weeks.

Would the 0 - 1500 workout be sufficient? Would anyone recommend any modifications?
