Exercise

Hi, I swim for a competitive team. Not the best or worst my best time is probably going the 100 fly under a minute and I am trying to lose weight. So I starting running, right now I just run around my neighborhood (6 minute half mile) i know not the best and was wondering if there are any tips to become better at running and increase my endurance/stamina for both swimming and running. Thanks
