Maybe I'm exceptionally sensitive, but I really can't stand getting water in my nose... I bought a nose clip from decathlon (this one). Placed it as instructed, and indeed could not breathe through my nose, only blow air out if I used some force. But after 30 seconds of swimming at the surface I could feel the salt water in my sinuses... Obviously a lot less than if I had nothing at all, but I was expecting to keep the inside of my nose/sinus completely free from any water. In fact if I can not even take air in through my nose, I have no idea how the water is even getting in... But it seems to be.
So is this normal when using a nose clip? Or am I doing something wrong? OR is the nose clip just not very good... How can I completely keep the water out of my nose/sinus (like with a snorkling mask) by using a nose clip?
