Let's say we have a 13 year old. Is it out of the ordinary for them to swim 1.5-2 hours a day 6 days a week? For 5000 yards ish?
What's the NORMAL practice schedule for a 12 to 13 year old?
I believe I was over-trained as a child and it stunted my growth because I swam way too long and lost a LOT of weight very quickly.
