UPDATE - Did my first swim today and I feel amazing and can't wait to go back!

OP Here -https://www.reddit.com/r/Swimming/comments/mx61h1/15_years_since_ive_swam_looking_for_positive/

Like an idiot I didn't count how many yards I did, but I think I did about 500. I got in and treaded water for awhile to warm up, and start with a nice easy 50 yards. I felt great in the pool almost like I never got out . Everything still felt natural and smooth from my form to kickflips. I went from a 50 yard, to 75, then did a 25 yard breast stroke. Rested for awhile, did a 100 yards, rested again and tread more water. I did another 100 yards, then did some 25's and 50's here and there while treading in between. I think it was around 4-500 yards. Overall I feel very good, I'm tired but don't feel overworked, I feel ready and excited to hit the pool again!

Next time I plan on paying more attention, so I can keep track of what I'm doing so I can see my progress and improvement over time.

All in all I think I was in the water about 45 minutes. Near the end, I wanted to see how I would hold up, so I pushed myself a bit on my last 50 and timed it, and got 45 seconds. I am so happy and impressed with myself that I almost started crying in the pool.

As far as being embarassed, I just told myself the only person who is thinking about how I look is myself, all the other people I saw around I didn't think twice about, and saw them enjoying themselves , and told myself they are thinking the same! I think it also helped there were only like 10 other people there total and most of them were seniors in the little shallow pool.

Thank you all for the support, I hope I can be the same to other's here!
